Courses

Impalas Netball Club aims to assist and develop our coaches. All coaches are volunteers and are dedicated to teaching the skills of netball, build confidence in players and provide a safe and fun environment.

The Club provides all coaches with a kit of equipment and a first aid kit to assist them.

Training is conducted for approximately one hour per week during the season and it is expected that all team members attend.

All coaches are expected to adhere to the Netball NSW Code of Behaviour.

Netball Australia’s coaching accreditation framework aims to assist coaches to successfully move through the Coach Education Framework. The coaching framework is a six-tier progression.

Foundation

The introductory level for beginner coaches, teachers, parents and NetSetGo coaches who are teaching basic netball techniques.

Development

Club, association and regional coaches who aim to further their netball knowledge.

Intermediate

For coaching at a Representative, Talent Identification and State League level, extending knowledge around skill progression.

Advanced

Coaches of Representative, Talent Identification and State League levels who are developing advanced coaching principles and practices.

Elite

Coaches at the highest level of State League, Australian Netball League and Suncorp Super Netball who are aspiring to be a high performance coach

High Performance

The highest level of State League, Australian Netball League and Suncorp Super League, working in a head coach capacity.

Impalas Netball Club encourages all coaches to have at minimum the Foundation accreditation and strives to provide resources and on-going training opportunities.
